Should I buy the Xbox 360 Elite or Playstation 3?

Well, I am afraid that if i buy the Xbox 360 than it would get old in two years. But, PS3 will not get old in two years or maybe not even ten years. But, I was thinking that If I buy the Xbox 360 Elite than I can also have a PSP 3000, so I currently have a wii so i would have the wii 360 and PSP, But if i buy the PS3 than I would have to buy the dsi because PSP is the same thing as ps3 while dsi is different that the wii. WHICH ONE HAS LESS SHOOTING GAMES BECAUSE I HATE SHOOTING GAMES!!!

1) The PS3 has more shooters (Uncharted 1/2, Killzone 2, Warhawk, MAG, SOCOM, Resistance 1/2, Metal Gear Solid 4, etc). Xbox 360 has Gears of War 1/2, Halo 3/ODST/Reach, Left 4 Dead 1/2, etc).



2) The Xbox 360 should last just as long the PS3:

3) The PSP %26amp; PS3 are NOT the same thing. There are different games and features. You can also use the PS3 to stream media and PS1 games to your PSP via Wi-Fi. Either way you can't go wrong with the DS or PSP. Also of note is that some games offer special connectivity between the PSP %26amp; PS3 (Assassin's Creed II and Assassins' Creed: Bloodlines for instance).



4) Of all the games you listed for the Xbox 360 only one is exclusive to the console (Forza 3). By comparison three of the PS3 games in your list are exclusive (Uncharted 2, Little Big Planet, Ratchet %26amp; Clank).
xbox 360 Pros:

-Awesome exclusive games

-Live is great and worth the price.

-Great Controller



Cons:

-It's old. The console is reaching it's limit.

-You pay for the adapter.



PS3 Pros:

-Amazing Graphics

-Exclusive games are mind blowing

-It still has untapped potential



Cons:

-PSN sucks compared to live

-Third Party games look better in the 360

If you want a good games machine, get a 360.



Elite comes with 120GB HDD

Super Elite comes with 250GB HDD.



If you want a console which can play games, surf the web, watch blu-ray movies, play online for free and have near-silent operation, get a PS3.
get the new elite which has the 60gb hdd its more than big enough and you'll save a fair bit of cash. i reccomend the 360 as in my experience the online is much more stable and less laggy, also there are alot more games, its also more cost effective :)Should I buy the Xbox 360 Elite or Playstation 3?

i would go with X box
If you want to play online for free then choose PS3 or else choose Xbox.
Simply put, XBOX is popular for their shooting games (the fanbase of the shooting games is what's keeping them alive) while PS3 offers more variety and a breath of fresh air from a genre of gore and violence.



You are definetly going to want to go with the PS3, it is very fun. But you might want to update your list. Here is what you should be going for when getting a PS3:
