Disclaimer to avoid useless and hostile comments:
I AM NOT A FANBOY AND I HAVE GREAT RESPECT FOR GRAN TURISMO
Ok so i bought Forza Motorsport 3 a whole year after it came out so i am nowhere near a veteran. I transferred from arcade racing to simulation racing and i have never looked back since. My opinion might not matter much but after absolutely loving Forza 3 to death and buying all DLC, i was even more excited to hear Forza 4 being developed, even if it was obvious it existed in some form. I was hoping all glitches and unfinished elements would be addressed and fixed (PI and active aero), new useful features added (night racing, weather, qualifiying lap, not gimmicks) and the game would focus more and more about being a simulation and full on driving experience. Although i have never played any of the previous Forzas, i was told that Forza 3 was a step in the casual/arcade direction, things like tire wear and fuel consumption were changed so that they had barely any effect on a race. an autorev at the beginning of each race was added along with a hidden steering assist that can't be turned off.
Now news about Forza 4 is getting big and the game is being over hyped, the leaked video pleased me with the inclusion of 8 more cars being on track per race, twice the amount of Forza 3. Active aero was also shown and i even saw the one car i thought was missing from Forza 3 (Mclaren F1 short tail.) More track locations including the Top gear test track an car clubs online. I thought they were going in the right direction with Microsoft even claiming a new tyre deformation system and that Forza 4 would be the most realistic car game on console.
Then...
After a long wait i finally got to see the E3 2011 footage. It was confirmed that the leaked video was actually Forza 4 and not an April fools joke (it was released on April 1st.). It was very similar to the first trailer but some things really did disturb me, only exotic cars were shown - most of them 2010-2011 models, no night racing or weather effects, same damage mode, car crash is shown (implying arcadish gameplay) but most of the video is focused on the stupid Kinect Gimmick. I saw The Cover Art of the game and i am not happy, it looks like a racing game meant for kids, what happened to the classy Audi R8 sitting in the shadows from the Forza 3 Cover. There is also a Pre-order Bonus, 5 exclusive cars that are only obtainable if you buy from a certain store, a pre-order shipping bonus for the first batch of game discs sold and a limited collectors edition which has not been explained yet.
I want to be able to drive all of the cars, i hate the sound of these pre-order bonuses, they seem to be implying that if you do not pre-order the game, you will not get the shipping bonus pack and the shop you do it from is deciding what cars you can have, meaning you cannot obtain the other 4 cars. If the more expensive collectors edition contained all of the pre-order cars for an extra cost i would go with that but since there are absolutely no details on it apart from that it has been announced I'm probably going to miss out on the 10 pre-order cars. I hate this stupid new pre-order exclusive content trend developers are supporting, it means that unless you buy all different copies of the game you can't have all the content. For people it will eventually become DLC, that was not the story of the Forza 3 ultimate Collection, which FORCED you to buy a new copy of the game just to obtain 11 more cars, they never became DLC.
It may seem like i care too much for the game but i enjoyed Forza 3 so much and now i am having a growing interest in cars , i originally expected i'd leave it in the dust after a day of playing but it is my favourite racing game ever.
I am starting to fear the worst that Forza 4 is going to be a half arcade racer or more arcadish in general than Forza 3. Apart from active Aero and 16 cars on track (10x better graphics claimed by Microsoft? I'd say not even twice as good.) I think the whole game is going to be aimed at the causal audience with the stupid kinnect crap. Microsoft already has Project Gotham Racing as it's main arcade racer so why wouldn't they focus the kinnect on that. Very stupid decision, i hate these stupid marketing douche bags who only care about money, not catering to what the true fans want (the ones who play it the most, add re playability to the game by adding content such as tunes and vinyls, and buy the DLC etc.). I'm really disappointed now but who knows the unexpected can occur and i hope somehow this game is better than Forza 3.
Sorry for the grammar but it is late and i am not so good at English talk.Forza Motorsport 4 Game?
If you're worried that FM4 isn't going to be for hardcore racers. You're right.

Forza is a good game. But it is nothing compared to GT5 in terms of car physics. The graphics in FM4 still look like a cartoon if you know what I mean. The 16 cars on the track make the game laggy, as in frames per second. Forza just isn't a racers game. It's a GAMER's casual car game.
Gran Turismo is not, and it's only getting better through the updates it has been given and will be given.
