What will be the difference between Forza Motorsport 3 and Gran Turismo 5?

besides the fact that they are for xbox360 and ps3 respectively? does GT5 boast something that forza 3 does not? What will be the difference between Forza Motorsport 3 and Gran Turismo 5?
Gran Turisomo 5 for the PS3 has been delayed indefinitely. From PS3.IGN.COM:

“Sony had yet to announce release dates for North American and European territories, but this news certainly doesn't bode well for fans anticipating a March worldwide release.”

The site reports that the delay is due to “production related issues”. This is unfortunate, but I speak for most gamers when I say, take the time you need to make it perfect. No one wants an unfinished game.

FORZA 3 is out, and gotten good reviews. Gran Turismo 5 is still a "maybe".

I post for Video Game Saga

Gran Turismo is designed to be a driving simulator and they collect real time data to accomplish this. They get every piece of data they can on each car they put into the game. Same for the real life tracks they put in the game. Cameras are attatched to the car and actually driven on the real courses by professional drivers. Their sounds are also implemented into the game. Some say Polyphony Digital knows more about the cars than the Manufacturers that created them.

Anyway, nobody goes through such detailed development for a racing game, and Forza is no exception. However, be aware that GT5 is not out yet and has been delayed indefinitely for all regions, so nobody can really tell you a whole lot on actual GT5 details. Forza 3 has been out since, what, October? You're probably not gonna be able to give a fair comparison of the two until at least the end of the Summer. Yes, PD announced some details already (you can check the Gran Turismo Forums on the Playstation website for this), but that was before the game was delayed and PD is notorious for removing things at the last minute.
The simple difference will be that GT5 (when it finally arrives) will be better than Forza 3 (in 90% areas) ... I like Forza 3, I just don't love it.. and the one thing that is missing from GT5 is Porsches (not Rufs). So I decided to get an xbox and try Fm3 for the Porsches.. It's a pretty good attempt.. BUT! the cars are unfinished, the 997 body shape is wrong, the interiors look nasty and the steering wheels are all odd sizes.. engine sounds are the same for all current and recent year vehicles too. The GT5 demo (that we got over xmas) was a wonderful insight into the way the sound and handling has improved in this game.. add that to this the polish and the clear forward thinking of this game, plus added extras such as night time, licences, nostalgic tracks, engine sounds that change depending on whether you fit an air filter or an exhaust or both etc.. and weather, it simply won't be beaten.. they have even opened up a seperate department to work on the online section. we don't even know which further surprises await us in GT5. Oh and did I mention realistic damage modelling.. I'm so excited.. Kazunori simply won't be beaten, if it takes till summer 2010 I'm still one happy man. What will be the difference between Forza Motorsport 3 and Gran Turismo 5?
Forza 3 is out in stores. Grand Turismo has yet to release for years now..... Forza 3 uses more polygons for cars than any other car game. Forza 3 is assume to brag about while you uncle who bought a PS3 when they came out just to get Grand Trismo sits and waits to hear a date.
one of them actually exists
